Fanshawe Golf Course: Beat The Pro Golf Tournament

Saturday May 21st marked the first club event at Fanshawe Golf Course for the 2011 season. With all the rain we have received this spring, we were very fortunate to have a gorgeous day for the tournament. The format for this event was 2-Man Net Best where City of London members paired up to take on the field and myself, the new Head Professional, Rob Vincent and Assistant Professional, Daryl Sinden. Cliff Brown & Dick Hardback beat the Professionals and the rest of the field with a score of net 62. The event was topped off with Phil Dickerson and Pete Havelka both making holes in one. Phil aced the par 3 6th hole with a 6-iron while Pete aced the closing hole 18th with an 8-iron. The staff would like thank everyone that participated and worked together to make this first event a great success. - Rob Vincent, Head Professional, Fanshawe Golf Course
