Grand Theatre's Valentine's Day Presentation

Susan Ferley presented ‘Romance at Eldon House: a playful look at love, courtship and marriage’. With the assistance of five talented actors from the High School Project, Susan highlighted comparisons between local matriarch Amelia Harris seeking husbands for her 7 daughters at Eldon House, with fictional matriarch Mrs. Bennet in Jane Austen’s story ‘Pride & Prejudice’ also seeking husbands for her 5 daughters in Regency England. The dovetailing is ideal, as Eldon House - London’s oldest home - celebrates 175 years and The Grand Theatre presents ‘Pride & Prejudice’ on stage from March 10 - April 3.
