John and Peggy Stewart dressed in traditional Scottish garments

Robbie Burns Night at Chartwell Riverside

Chartwell Riverside was pleased to host this annual celebration of the National poet of Scotland’s birthday. Scotland's favourite son was born 251 years ago and residents and staff members alike dressed in their traditional Scottish garb to honor his memory.
The haggis was paraded into the dining room led by Jim Scott and his bag pipe.
A traditional meal was served, including the ever famous haggis and of course there was a tad of scotch whiskey served in order to toast Robbie Burns.
