Junior Achievement’s 2010 Stock Market Challenge

Local students and Junior Achievement (JA) business supporters were each treated to a real life stock market scenario that made for some exciting competition, all in support of London’s youth. In the afternoon, local high school students experienced all the energy and excitement of the stock trading floor in this simulated, high-energy event. In the evening, local business professionals came out to support JA and to play along in this challenge in which all proceeds went directly to JA to help with their community initiatives. JA is a leading provider of business and economic programs for youth and Stock Market Challenge is one of the most unique and exciting programs, providing hands on simulated business experience for students. This program nurtures the development of financial literacy, time management, decision making and team building, cultivating the next generation of business leaders.
Special thanks go out to BMO Nesbitt Burns, RBC Dominion Securities, TD Waterhouse, Scotia McLeod, National Bank Financial and CIBC Wood Gundy for their corporate sponsorship.
