Face off Against CF
On September 13th, the North London Optimist Community Centre opened their doors to "Face off Against CF" - a fundraising road hockey tournament to encourage awareness, research and continued support for those who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis. It was fun day of road hockey, with two different divisions, recreational and competitive; and each team was guaranteed three games. The competitive side of the draw was won by 'The Red Team,' who beat out the 'Alcobollics' in the finals. The recreational side was won by 'Beg For Mercy' as they defeated 'Prognosis Negative.' The 3-on-3 Road Hockey Tournament has raised over $40,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Research, and organizers were expecting to top $10,000 again this year. Congratulations on a great tournament for a great cause, and for more information, visit www.roadhockeylondon.ca.
